When my family and I moved from Copenhagen about four years ago, we heard stories of how summertime in San Francisco doesn’t always mean endless sunshine and heat. Fog, cool temperatures and overcast days are common, and it isn’t until the late summer/early autumn the sun seems to resume power as the prevalent weather condition. That time is now.
With the heat comes a plethora of glorious ingredients with which my staff and I love cooking. And so, we’ve decided to create a bit of an impromptu unique dinner menu this coming Wednesday evening, September 4. As always, the foods will be Scandinavian-inspired, made from scratch from the very best ingredients we can get our hands on.
We’re keeping things simple for this casual dinner: We will be serving a 3-course meal, including with a glass of wine for each course. Tables can be reserved at one of our two seatings: 5:30pm or 8pm.
We adore hosting events during our off-hours. When the tables are set, the lights have been dimmed and guests begin to arrive, it’s a special time to be at Kantine, knowing that this dinner will only exist in its current format for a single evening. Come share it with us.
