PRIDE MEANS PORK AND BEER
Today and tomorrow we will be running a special roast pork loin sandwich + beer special to celebrate SF Pride.
This isn't just any pork sandwich. The crispy pork cracklings are reason enough to order the sandwich, and when they get slipped into our rustic sourdough bun, slathering of homemade mayo, and red cabbage and apple slaw...aw, forget about it.
Add a 1/2 pint of Moonlight Brewing's floral hoppy Czech-style pilsner, Reality Czech and, for just $16, you have a meal fit for a hungry Danish king. OR super-size your beer to a full pint and get the whole shebang for just $20.

To celebrate our very first birthday, we will be whipping up Royal Party Cakes (photo) all day long TOMORROW from 7:30am-3pm to add to our usual array of pastries. (Yes, cake for breakfast is entirely permissible here.) Thanks to our lovely, hardworking team and all the quirky, supportive and kind guests who together have given this place such a big heart.

Baker people! On Monday July 8 from 6-8pm our super skilled baker Blair will teaming up with fellow sourdough baker Natalie to do a hands-on baking class in the Kantine kitchen.
The class will teach the fundamentals of sourdough bread, with an emphasis on baking with ancient whole grains. The breads made during class will be made with the ancient Scandinavian grain Øland (grown by @capay_organic). ✨
